Medication Sponsorship
The Kokotoni Clinic, situated outside of the city of Mombasa on Kenya’s eastern coastal region, serves six villages with much-needed medical care. One of its needs is some financial support; while patients pay a standard rate of about $3, some are able to pay only part or none of this charge. This clinic is mostly self-supportive; however, it needs about $150 a month to maintain itself. We’ve decided to act as a sponsor and fill in the financial needs, which are used primarily to purchase medications and equipment.

Clinic Refrigerator
The clinic lacks a refrigerator. This is an issue primarily for medications. Without a fridge, the government won’t allow the clinic to administer vaccinations, because these meds need to be kept cool. In addition, some birth control injections as well as other medications need to be refrigerated, and currently the clinic is forced to use the fridge at a small café nearby. We’re trying to fund the purchase of a fridge for the clinic. Later, we’d like to help the clinic purchase some basic and much-needed medical equipment.

Clinic Construction
In cooperation with the Kokotoni Project and Choice Humanitarian, WTC Photography is working to build at least one more clinic in a rural setting outside of Mombasa, using the Kokotoni Clinic as a model. We’re hoping to build the clinic in the next year to two years. While this project is still deep in the planning mode, feel free to be involved in sponsoring it; we’d be glad to keep you up to date on how progress is being done.
