We are preparing our mission statement, which will be used for two main objectives: to partner with organizations and hospitals, and to attract nurses and other healthcare workers to volunteer for our trips. Click here to download a Word file of our tentative mission statement.
Our goals are fairly straightforward. We've identified several goals, for the organization as well as for individuals who'd like to become involved in sponsoring. Presently, for the projects available for financial sponsorship, we are involved in the following: To be more specific, the Kokotoni Clinic outside of Mombasa, Kenya is a rural clinic in need of financial support to purchase medications and equipment; we're helping to support them. We are working with the Choice Humanitarian organization to build another clinic in the coming year or two; they are also our conduit for donations to be taken and distributed in Kenya.
Beyond that, our organization is working to become a connection between non-profits and hospitals, and to create avenues for healthcare workers to go abroad, where doctors and nurses from the US can go to the hospitals in Mombasa to educate the staff there, as well as work in rural clinics. Our aim is to create avenues for healthcare workers to go abroad with ease and support. Finally, we want to become involved in the education of Kenyans on AIDS as well as help treat those infected.
